Your Hosts
Dr. Martin Cortez Wesley is a counseling professor with National Louis University. He has been training therapists for 20+ years. He has been in private practice with www.wesleycounseling.com in Apollo Beach, Florida, and does presentations and workshops for www.CounselorEd.com. He is a researcher, writer, conference presenter, and leader in professional counseling, addiction treatment, and mental health.
Dr. David Whittinghill recently retired from the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Before his leadership role at NBCC, Dr. Whittinghill worked as faculty chair of Counselor Education Departments at the University of Alabama-Birmingham and the University of North Florida. He has published scholarly articles on CACREP curriculum standards and effective counseling of addictive behaviors. In addition to his academic teaching, Dr. Whittinghill is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida.
